Over its launch weekend of 11-12 May 2019, The Woodleigh Residences by Singapore Press Holdings (SPH) and Japan-based company Kajima Development have managed to sell a total of 70 units – most being 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom units.

The selling prices of these units started from $1,733 psf ppr and it was noted that three of the 4-bedroom apartments sold achieved a staggering psf price of $2,331.

According to reports, the project director of Kajima Development said that the group is very pleased with the overwhelming response at The Woodleigh Residences, which many specially invited guests were vying for the units of their choice during the balloting session held on the morning of 11 May (Saturday).

It was also mentioned by Kajima that the majority of buyers were Singaporeans and believe that the government’s future plans for the upcoming Bidadari new town are the main draw for them as they recognized the immense potential of this district.

Many of the 2-bedroom units were acquired by young couples and families of smaller sizes; the larger ones were mostly bought by families which are relatively larger.

However, SPH and Kajima did not reveal the number of units being released for sale during the weekend launch.

Last November, the developer held a soft launch for The Woodleigh Residences, which saw 30 units being sold at a median psf price of more than $2,000.

Being built above the future Woodleigh Mall, the new Woodleigh Residences will also be linked to the nearby Woodleigh MRT station and also an underground air-conditioned bus interchange.

This 99-year leasehold development, The Woodleigh Residences comprises of 667 units in total – from 2-bedroom to 4-bedroom units. The sizes range between 570 sq ft for a 2-bedder to 1,475 sq ft for a 4-bedder.
